Abstract
(EN) An oil and gas well shaped charge perforator is provided comprising a housing (2), a high explosive (3), and a liner (5) with a further insert liner (6) where the high explosive is positioned between the liner and the housing. In use the high explosive will collapse the liner and insert causing two cutting jets to form. The insert may substantially cover the surface area of the liner or it may over only partially cover the liner, such as the apical portion of the liner or the base portion of liner. Alternatively the insert may be varied in thickness across the surface area of the liner. Typically the thickness of the liner may be between 1 and 10 % of the liner diameter and the thickness of the insert may be between 1 and 200% of the thickness of the liner. The insert may be produced during the manufacture of the liner, but preferably the liner will be a retro fitted item.
(FR) L’invention concerne un perforateur à charge creuse pour puits de gaz et de pétrole, comprenant une enveloppe (2), un explosif puissant (3) et une colonne perdue (5) comportant une autre colonne perdue encastrée (6), l’explosif puissant étant placé entre la colonne perdue et l’enveloppe. En service, l’explosif puissant provoque l’écrasement de la colonne perdue et de l’autre colonne perdue encastrée et la formation de deux jets de coupe. L’autre colonne perdue encastrée peut couvrir essentiellement toute la surface de la colonne perdue ou peut n’en couvrir qu’une partie, comme le tronçon apical de la colonne perdue ou le tronçon de base de la colonne perdue. En variante, l’autre colonne perdue encastrée peut présenter une épaisseur variable le long de la surface de la colonne perdue. Typiquement, l’épaisseur de la colonne perdue représente entre 1 et 10 % de son diamètre, et l’épaisseur de l’autre colonne perdue encastrée représente entre 1 et 200 % de l’épaisseur de la colonne perdue. L’autre colonne perdue encastrée peut être fabriquée simultanément à la colonne perdue, mais sera de préférence un élément installé à posteriori.
