Abstract
(EN) The present invention is concerned with highly available communication networks, in particular for industrial or utility applications such as substation automation. The devices are connected to two redundant lines (1a, 1b) through two independent transceivers (2a, 2b) and bus controllers (3a, 3b), i.e. the physical layer and the link layer of the corresponding protocol stack is duplicated. For seamless operation, a sender (11) sends frames (100a, 100b) simultaneously over both lines and a receiver (13) accepts whichever frame of a pair comes first and ignores the late frame. The invention describes a method for discarding duplicate frames at the link layer without considering the higher protocol layers, based on a counter (202, 203) inserted in the frame and an algorithm for rejection, with a corresponding means to detect which frames operate according to the redundancy protocol.
(FR) L'invention concerne des réseaux de communication hautement disponibles, en particulier destinés à des applications industrielles ou utilitaires, notamment une automatisation de sous-station. Les dispositifs de l'invention sont reliés à deux lignes redondantes (1a, 1b) à l'aide de deux émetteurs/récepteurs indépendants (2a, 2b) et de deux contrôleurs de bus (3a, 3b), à savoir que la couche physique et la couche de liaison de la pile de protocoles correspondante sont dupliquée. Pour un fonctionnement sans interruption, un émetteur (11) envoie simultanément des trames (100a, 100b) sur les deux lignes, et un récepteur (13) accepte la trame qui arrive en premier d'une paire de trames, et ne tient pas compte de la trame qui arrive en second. L'invention concerne également une méthode pour supprimer des trames doubles, au niveau de la couche de liaison, sans considérer les couches de protocoles supérieures, en fonction d'un compteur (202, 203) inséré dans la trame et d'un algorithme pour un rejet, à l'aide d'un moyen correspondant pour détecter quelles trames fonctionnent selon le protocole de redondance.
