Abstract
(EN) A system and method for establishing a local page and grid numbering system (LPGNS) in a geographic referencing system. A universal page number array is defined for the geographic referencing system. Each element of the universal page number array represents a “universal” page and is assigned a universal page number. A local defining area is selected and an alignment point defined using a deterministic method. A local page block array comprising local pages for a local defining area is defined. A keystone page within the local page block array is defined and aligned with the universal page number containing the alignment point. Local page numbers are assigned to the universal page numbers relative to the keystone page.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant d'établir un système de numérotation de pages et de grilles locales (LPGNS) dans un système de références géographiques. Un ensemble de nombre de pages universelles est défini pour le système de référence géographique. Chaque élément de l'ensemble de nombre de pages universelles représente une page « universelle » et est alloué à un nombre de pages universelles. Une zone de délimitation locale est sélectionnée et un point d'alignement est défini au moyen d'une méthode déterministe. Un ensemble de blocs de pages locales comprenant des pages locales pour une zone de délimitation locale est défini. Une page keystone dans l'ensemble de blocs de pages locales est définie et alignée avec le nombre de pages universelles contenant le point d'alignement.
