Abstract
(EN) A portable lighting tower (100) comprises a chassis (102) mounted on a plurality of wheels (106) for transporting the tower; a control console positioned on a side of the chassis; a power plant mounted on the chassis, the power plant controlled by the control console; a mast having a substantially vertical section (110) mounted to an end of the chassis and an extendable section (114) pivotally mounted to the vertical section; and, a light (116) mounted to the extendable section. The vertical section is rotatable about an axis parallel to its length by operation of a motor (112) powered by the power plant under the control of the control console. Additionally, a plurality of ground engaging stabilisers (120) are able to be lowered to engage the ground under the control of the control console. The stabilisers extend to engage the ground such that the weight of the tower is at least in part distributed amongst the stabilisers when the tower is positioned for use.
(FR) La présente invention décrit une tour d’éclairage portable (100) qui comprend un châssis (102) monté sur une pluralité de roues (106) pour transporter la tour ; une console de commande positionnée sur un côté du châssis ; une installation d’énergie électrique montée sur le châssis et commandée par la console de commande ; un mât comportant une section sensiblement verticale (110) montée sur une extrémité du châssis et une section extensible (114) montée de façon pivotante sur la section verticale ; et une lumière (116) montée sur la section extensible.
