Abstract
(EN) A novel circuit is used to monitor the common-mode voltage at the summing junctions of the first integrator in a continuous-time Σ&Dgr; ADC, wherein the circuit produces a control voltage which adjusts the quiescent current of the feedback DAC to compensate for any common-mode offset current. Since the adjustment takes place within the feedback DAC, there is no extra noise added to the differential signal path. The implementation provides for no degradation to the SNR of the converter.
(FR) Selon l'invention, un nouveau circuit est utilisé pour contrôler la tension en mode commun au niveau des jonctions de sommation du premier intégrateur dans un CAN sigma-delta à temps continu. Le circuit produit une tension de commande qui règle le courant de repos du CNA pour compenser un quelconque courant de décalage en mode commun. Puisque le réglage s'effectue à l'intérieur du CNA de rétroaction, aucun bruit supplémentaire ne s'ajoute au parcours du signal différentiel. Le procédé de l'invention n'entraîne aucune dégradation au SNR du convertisseur.
