Abstract
(EN) A process for purifying a stock Sr-90 solution containing stable and radioactive impurities, holding the purified Sr-90 solution for Y-90 ingrowth, and subsequently extracting the Y-90 from the Sr-90/Y­90 solution. The stock solution is sequentially passed through two thermoxide-type sorbents (T-3 and T-5), which hold the impurities while passing the Sr-90 solution. After ingrowth of Y-90, the Sr-901Y-90 solution is passed through sorbent T-3, which preferentially sorbs the Y-90 while passing the Sr-90 solution. The Y-90 is then eluted from the T-3 sorbent. The T-3 and T-5 sorbents are specially prepared compounds of zirconium dioxide and titanium dioxide, respectively, that preferentially sorb Y-90 under predetermined conditions of solution pH and NaCl concentration.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de purification d'une solution mère de Sr-90 contenant des impuretés stables et radioactives, procédé consistant à maintenir la solution de Sr-90 purifiée pour la croissance de Y-90, et à extraire ensuite le Y-90 de la solution de Sr-90/Y-90. La solution mère est amenée à passer successivement sur deux adsorbants du type thermoxyde (T-3 et T-5) qui retiennent les impuretés tout en laissant passer la solution de Sr-90. Après croissance de Y-90, la solution de Sr-90/Y90 est amenée à traverser un adsorbant T3, lequel adsorbe de préférence le Y-90, tout en laissant passer la solution de Sr-90. Le Y-90 est alors élué de l'adsorbant T3. Les adsorbants T3 et T5 sont des composés spécialement préparés, respectivement, de dioxyde de zirconium et de dioxyde de titane, qui adsorbent de préférence le Y-90 dans des conditions prédéterminées de concentration en NaCl et de pH de la solution.
