A method and apparatus store energy in an energy storage medium located in an energy storage chamber. As a sampling tool descends into the borehole, the energy storage medium is pressurized with hydrostatic pressure. A sample is collected in a sample chamber by pumping formation fluid into the sample chamber against hydrostatic pressure. The energy storage medium applies the energy stored in the energy storage medium to the sample through a pressure communication member. A pressure multiplier member increases the pressure applied on the sample by the energy storage medium through the pressure communication member to keep pressure on the sample. A biasing water pressure is applied to the sample at the surface so that the energy storage chamber can be removed from the sample chamber.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de stocker de l'énergie dans un milieu de stockage d'énergie situé dans une chambre de stockage d'énergie. A mesure qu'un outil d'échantillonnage descend dans un puits, le milieu de stockage d'énergie est mis sous pression au moyen d'une pression hydrostatique. On collecte un échantillon dans une chambre d'échantillon par pompage d'un fluide de formation en s'opposant à la pression hydrostatique. Le milieu de stockage d'énergie applique l'énergie stockée dans ledit milieu à l'échantillon via un élément de communication de pression. Un élément multiplicateur de pression augmente la pression appliquée sur l'échantillon par le milieu de stockage d'énergie via l'élément de communication de pression afin de conserver la pression sur l'échantillon. Une pression de polarisation d'eau est appliquée sur l'échantillon au niveau de sa surface de sorte que la chambre de stockage d'énergie peut être retirée de la chambre d'échantillon.
