Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed is a method for locating a mobile radio unit within a mobile radio communications network. The method provides for the calculation of network variables such as a Real Time Difference (RTD) between network elements, from measurements already available to the network from, for example, handovers between network elements. The method provides for the location of radio mobile units without having to synchronise network elements such as BTSs or LMUs.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de localiser une unité de radiocommunication mobile dans un réseau de radiocommunication mobile. Ce procédé permet de calculer des variables de réseau telles que la différence de temps réel entre les éléments du réseau à partir de mesures déjà disponibles dans le réseau, relevées par exemple lors de transferts entre les éléments du réseau. Ce procédé permet la localisation des unités de radiocommunication mobiles sans qu'il soit nécessaire de synchroniser les éléments du réseau tels que les stations de base (BTS) ou les unités de mesure de position (LMU).
