(EN) A thermoelectric generator includes a heat source comprising a plurality of nanocatalyst particles, an inlet for fuel and oxygen for contacting the fuel and oxygen with the nanocatalyst particles, and a heat sink. A thermoelectric generating unit having n- and p-­type semiconductors is provided between and in thermal contact with the heat source and the heat sink, and an electrical connection is provided between the n-and p-type semiconductors. A method for spontaneously combusting a fuel is also disclosed.
(FR) Un générateur thermoélectrique comprend une source de chaleur comprenant une pluralité de particules de nanocatalyseur, un orifice d'entrée de combustible d'oxygène permettant de mettre en contact le combustible et l'oxygène avec les nanoparticules de catalyseur et, un dissipateur thermique. Une unité de génération thermoélectrique possédant des semi-conducteurs de type n et p est prévue entre la source de chaleur et le dissipateur thermique et est en contact thermique avec ces derniers et, une connexion électrique est prévue entre les semi-conducteurs de type n et p. Cette invention concerne aussi un procédé de combustion spontanée de combustible.
