(EN)A cutting tool for cutting a material is provided with a cylindrical body (500) having a cross-sectional diameter and a longitudinal rotating axis, (506) and a plurality of teeth disposed on a circumference of the body, each tooth having a cutting edge (514) and separated by a flute (512). The number of teeth is selected such that a ratio of the number of teeth to the diameter in millimeter (mm) is at least 0.75:1, that the cylindrical body (502) is rotated with a tooth pass frequency of at least 400 teeth-per-­second, and that the tool (500, 501) is used for machining in a way that all the material is removed at a rate of rough machining and in a manner to eliminate finishing pass.
(FR)Cette invention concerne un outil de coupe possédant un corps cylindrique (502) d'un diamètre donné, avec axe de rotation longitudinal (506), et une pluralité de dents disposées à la périphérie du corps, chaque dent présentant un bord de coupe et étant séparée des dents adjacentes par une gorge (512).
