(EN)A cutting tool, wherein a hard coating layer harder than a base body is put on the surface of the base body formed of a hard sintered body. Polishing is applied to a cutting edge area ranging from a face side to a flank side through a cross ridge on the surface of the hard coating layer so that cracking is present in a polished surface on the hard coating layer and the areas thereof near the cracking are gradually deepened toward the cracking. Thus, the wear resistance and the chipping resistance of the cutting edge of the cutting tool can be increased.
(FR)L’invention concerne un outil coupant se distinguant par une couche de revêtement dure et plus dure que le corps de base est enduit sur la surface du corps de base formée d’un corps fritté dur. Le polissage est appliqué à une zone du bord tranchant s’étendant de la face vers le flanc à travers une arête transversale sur la surface de la couche de revêtement dure afin qu’une fissure soit présente sur la surface polie de la couche de revêtement dure et que les zones avoisinantes près de la fissure soient progressivement agrandies vers la fissure. Ainsi, il est possible d'accroître la résistance à l’usure et la résistance à l’écaillage du bord tranchant de l’outil coupant.
(JA) 硬質焼結体からなる基体の表面に、該基体よりも硬い硬質被覆層を被覆した切削工具であって、前記硬質被覆層の表面におけるすくい面側から交差稜を含んで逃げ面側にわたる切刃領域について研磨加工が施され、かつ該研磨加工面にクラックが存在するとともに、該クラックの近傍領域が該クラックに向かって漸次深くなるように研磨加工されている切削工具であり、これにより、耐摩耗性に優れるとともに、切刃の耐チッピング性を向上した切削工具となる。
