(EN)A preferred embodiment of the present invention relates to a photoactive layer comprised of a primary structure of particles of photoactive material, and a secondary structure of particles of a material that is more electrically conductive than said photoactive material, wherein one of said first and second structures forms a relatively low resistance passageway for charge carrier mobility through the layer to thereby improve charge carrier mobility in the layer as a whole.
