(EN)An improved training sequence for estimating a channel (e.g., channel impulse response) in the time domain is disclosed. The improved training sequence enables time-domain estimation and eliminates the need for correct frequency-domain channel estimation at every frequency. By utilizing the training sequence according to the invention, estimation of each of a plurality of time-domain channel taps can be decoupled from each other. This enables a channel estimate to be performed with not only a higher convergence speed but also lower complexity.
(FR)La présente invention concerne une séquence d'apprentissage améliorée permettant d'estimer un canal (par exemple, la réponse impulsionnelle d'un canal) dans le domaine temporel. La séquence d'apprentissage améliorée permet une estimation du domaine temporel et elle permet d'éviter l'estimation du domaine fréquentiel à chaque fréquence. L'utilisation de la séquence d'apprentissage décrite dans cette invention permet de séparer l'estimation de chacune des multiples prises de canal dans le domaine temporel. Ce mode de réalisation permet une estimation de canal non seulement à une vitesse de convergence plus élevée, mais également avec une complexité moindre.
