(EN)The present invention is for a decision support tool for 3D LOS visualization in user interactive 3D virtual reality environments for enabling true 3D LOS analysis for assisting decision making in a wide range of applications including inter alia land development projects, military operational planning, sensor placement in surveillance systems, and the like. The present invention further enables displaying cross sections of 3D virtual reality scenes, and determination of the minimum elevation of an origin node for ensuring a single continuous unobstructed 3D LOS with each target node of at least one stationary target node.
(FR)L'invention concerne un outil de support de décision destiné à la visualisation LOS dans des environnements utilisateur interactifs en réalité virtuelle 3D permettant une analyse vraie LOS 3D afin d'aider à la prise de décision dans une large gamme d'applications, notamment des projets d'aménagement de terrain, des planifications opérationnelles militaires des placements de capteurs dans des systèmes de surveillance et analogues. L'invention permet également d'afficher des coupes transversales de scènes de réalité virtuelle 3D, et de déterminer l'élévation minimum d'un noeud d'origine afin d'assurer une LOS 3D unique continue et dégagée avec chaque un noeud cible d'au moins un noeud cible fixe.
