(EN)A sealing device (1) is constituted at least in part by a shape memory material and it is so arranged at to go into an expanded condition when its temperature passes through a predetermined threshold value, thereby obtaining an enhanced sealing effect, thanks to the matching of any settling of the parts between which the device is mounted, and thereby reducing or avoiding the risk of creep of the material constituting the sealing device or of non uniform contact pressure which may be generated by said settling.
(FR)L'invention concerne un dispositif de scellement (1) constitué d'au moins partiellement un matériau à mémoire de forme et conçu de sorte à adopter un état dilaté, lorsque sa température dépasse une valeur seuil prédéterminée, ce qui permet d'obtenir un effet d'étanchéité accrû, grâce à la mise en correspondance de toutes les parties entre lesquelles le dispositif est monté, et ce qui permet de réduire ou d'éviter le risque de déformation du matériau constituant le dispositif de scellement ou le risque de pression de contact non uniforme.
