(EN)A device and method are presented for use in measuring photon energy. The device comprises at least one pixel unit (10) including a Photocathode (12) that emits electrons in response to absorbed photons; an Anode (14); and a control unit (19) operable for controllin an electric current from the Photocathode (12) to the Anode (14) so as to selectively prevent electrons' arrival to the Anode (14) to thereby scan a spectrum of photon energies incident on the Photocathode (12).
(FR)L'invention porte sur un dispositif et sur un procédé servant à mesurer l'énergie des photons. Le dispositif comporte au moins une unité de pixels comprenant: une photocathode émettant des électrons en réponse à des photons absorbés; une anode; et un circuit de ce régulation du courant allant de la photocathode à l'anode de manière à prévenir sélectivement l'arrivée des électrons sur l'anode pour pouvoir balayer le spectre d'énergie des photons frappant la photocathode.
