(EN)A method for upgrading heavy oils by contacting the heavy oil with an inhibitor additive and then thermally treating the inhibitor additized heavy oil. The inhibitor is selected from oil soluble polynuclear aromatic compounds. The invention also relates to the upgraded product from the inhibitor enhanced thermal treatment process.
(FR)Il est prévu un procédé pour améliorer les huiles lourdes en mettant l’huile lourde au contact d’un additif inhibiteur, puis en traitant thermiquement l’huile lourde ayant reçu l’inhibiteur. L’inhibiteur est sélectionné parmi les composés aromatiques polynucléaires solubles dans l’huile. L’invention porte également sur le produit amélioré grâce au procédé de traitement thermique renforcé par inhibiteur.
