(EN)A process for preparing a halo-olefin to minimize one or more side reactions which form at least one impurity, said process comprising contacting a halogenated hydrocarbon with a metal dehalogenating agent dissolved in a solvent under conditions sufficient to dehalogenate said halogenated hydrocarbon to produce a product stream comprising said halo-olefin and at least one impurity, said metal dehalogenating agent having an average particle size within a range of average particle sizes, said impurity concentration of said product stream being essentially constant within said range and increasing significantly below said range.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une halo-oléfine destiné à minimiser une ou plusieurs réactions secondaires formant au moins une impureté. Ledit procédé consiste à mettre en contact un hydrocarbure halogéné avec un agent de déshalogénation métallique dans un solvant, dans des conditions suffisantes pour déshalogéner ledit hydrocarbure halogéné afin d'obtenir un produit contenant ladite halo-oléfine et au moins une impureté, ledit agent de déshalogénation présentant une dimension de particule moyenne dans une gamme de dimensions de particule moyennes, lesdites concentrations d'impuretés dudit produit étant essentiellement constantes dans ladite gamme et augmentant de manière significative en dessous de ladite gamme.
