(EN)A method for determining the quality of sealing of an article, in particular the quality of thermic sealing of packages comprising a heat-sealable film. The method comprises the steps of. collecting data on a sound wave generated by sealing apparatus during sealing; and performing a multivariate analysis on the collected data to determine the quality of sealing of the article. The data are collected by one or more microphones positioned adjacent to the sealing jaws of the apparatus. The invention also provides apparatus specifically adapted to carry out methods according to the invention.
(FR)L'invention porte sur un procédé de détermination de la qualité du scellage d'un article, et en particulier de son thermoscellage. Ledit procédé consiste à recueillir des données relatives à une onde sonore produite par l'appareil de scellage alors qu'il opère, et à effectuer une analyse multivariable desdites données pour déterminer la qualité du scellage de l'article. Les données sont recueillies par un ou des microphones voisins des mâchoires de scellage de l'appareil. L'invention porte également sur un appareil spécifiquement conçu pour exécuter les procédés de l'invention.
