The invention relates to a sleeve joint, which can be used to connect moulded pipe parts and pipes in a liquid-tight manner in a longitudinal force fit by means of a sleeve, whose front end can be shortened. The sleeve is configured as a hollow cylinder, on the surface of which are formed parallel annular sleeve ribs (1.1) with a rectangular cross-section. Said sleeve ribs are located at a distance from one another that is dependent on the diameter of a connecting pipe (6) and on the dimensions of the sleeve shortening that is required. In the sanitary field, the aforementioned distance is approximately 8 to 12 mm. The rear end of the hollow cylinder of the sleeve is configured as a cone (1.3) and is connected to a socket pipe (2). The sleeve can be connected to the respective connection pipe (6) for example by means of a screw plate (10) and an annular seal (5) is fixed by means of a spacer sleeve (3) that can be likewise shortened.
