The present invention relates to a scanner for optical storage media (5) with an improved signal?to?noise ratio. In the case of an optical scanner according to the invention having a light source (1) for generating a light beam for reading out data stored on an optical storage medium (5), the light source (1) being modulated by a radio?frequency modulator (13), and having an analog?to?digital converter (9), which converts an analog data signal generated by a photodetector (7) into a digital data signal (RF), the radio?frequency modulator (13) and the analog?to?digital converter (9) are synchronized.

La présente invention concerne un scanner pour des supports de stockage optique (5) avec rapport signal sur bruit amélioré . Dans le cas d'un scanner optique tel celui de l'invention dont la source lumineuse (1) génère un faisceau de lumière lisant des données stockées sur un support de stockage optique (5), la source lumineuse (1) étant modulée par un modulateur RF (13) et possédant un numériseur (9) qui convertit un signal de données analogiques généré par un photodétecteur (7) en un signal de données numériques (RF), le modulateur RF (13) et le numériseur (9) sont synchronisés.
