Abstract

Fetal monitoring devices directed to a maternal bladder insert having at least one sensor on the distal end to detect fetal vital signs and uterine activity, and methods for detecting fetal vital signs and uterine activity using the device. The bladder insert is preferably a catheter with an integrated electrode for detecting fetal heart rate and uterine electomyography. Furthermore, the devices transmit this data to a monitoring system for diagnosis and observation.

L'invention concerne des dispositifs de surveillance foetale sous forme d'éléments d'insertion dans la vessie maternelle qui présentent au moins un capteur disposé sur l'extrémité distale destiné à détecter des signes de vie du foetus et une activité utérine. L'élément d'insertion dans la vessie est de préférence un cathéter comprenant une électrode intégrée destinée à détecter la fréquence cardiaque du foetus et l'électromyographie utérine. En outre, les dispositifs de l'invention transmettent ces données à un système de surveillance pour l'établissement d'un diagnostic et l'observation.
