An optical film comprising a scattering-dichroic absorption composite polarizer consisting of a film having a structure in which fine areas are dispersed in a matrix formed by translucent resin containing an iodine absorption element, and a double refracting film that is a transparent film formed by solid polymer and satisfies characteristics, nx>ny>nz, when a direction in which an in-phase refractive index is maximum is an X-axis, a direction perpendicular to the X-axis a Y-axis, and a film thickness direction a Z-axis, and refractive indexes in respective axis directions are respectively nx, ny, and nz. Such an optical film has a high contrast over a wide viewing angle, and a high transmittance and a high polarization degree to be able to limit non-uniformity in transmittance at black displaying.

Il est prévu un film optique comprenant un polariseur composite à absorption dichroïque/dispersion composé d’un film ayant une structure dans laquelle de fines zones sont dispersées dans une matrice constituée d’une résine translucide contenant un élément d'absorption à base d'iode, et un double film réfractant qui est un film transparent formé par un polymère solide et satisfait aux caractéristiques, nx > ny > nz, lorsqu’une direction dans laquelle un indice de réfraction en phase est maximal, est l’axe des X, une direction perpendiculaire à l'axe des X l’axe des Y, et une direction d'épaisseur de film l’axe des Z, et les indices de réfraction dans les directions d’axe respectives sont respectivement nx, ny et nz. Un tel film optique présente un contraste élevé sur un grand angle de vision, une transmittance élevée et un degré élevé de polarisation pour limiter la non-uniformité de transmittance dans l’affichage des noirs.

 本発明の光学フィルムは、ヨウ素系吸光体を含有する透光性樹脂により形成されるマトリクス中に、微小領域が分散された構造のフィルムからなる散乱−二色性吸収複合型偏光子と、固体ポリマーにより形成される透明フィルムであって、面内屈折率が最大となる方向をX軸、X軸に垂直な方向をY軸、フィルムの厚さ方向をZ軸とし、それぞれの軸方向の屈折率をnx、ny、nzとしたとき、nx>ny>nzの特性を満足する複屈折性フィルムを有する。かかる光学フィルムは、広い視野角に亘り高いコントラストを有し、高透過率、かつ高偏光度を有し、黒表示の際の透過率のムラを抑えることができる。
