(EN)Various methods and apparatuses are described in which an array of optical gain mediums capable of lasing are contained in a single integral unit. The array may contain four or more optical gain mediums capable of lasing. Each optical gain medium capable of lasing supplies a separate optical signal containing a band of wavelengths different than the other optical gain mediums capable of lasing in the array to a first multiplexer/demultiplexer. A connection for an output fiber exists to route an optical signal to and from a passive optical network.
(FR)L'invention concerne divers procédés et appareils, selon lesquels un réseau de milieux de gain optique capables d'un effet laser est compris dans une unité intégrale unique. Ledit réseau peut comporter au moins quatre milieux de gain optique capables d'engendrer un effet laser. Chaque milieu de gain optique capable d'effet laser fournit à un premier multiplexeur/démultiplexeur un signal optique séparé renfermant une bande de longueurs d'onde différente de celle des autres milieux de gain optique capables d'effet laser dans le réseau. Une connexion d'une fibre de sortie existe afin d'acheminer un signal optique vers un réseau optique passif et à partir dudit réseau.
