Abstract

An active matrix electroluminescent display device has a shorting transistor (30) connected between the gate and drain of the drive transistor (22). Means (42) is provided for measuring a voltage on the data line (6). The shorting transistor (30) can be used to discharge the voltage on the gate of the drive transistor (22) until it switches off. By storing the resultant voltage on the data line (6) through an address transistor (16), the data line is used as one of the control/measurement lines for the threshold measurement.

La présente invention a trait à un dispositif d'affichage électroluminescent à matrice active comportant un transistor de court-circuitage (30) relié entre la grille et le drain du transistor de commande (22). Un moyen (42) est prévu pour la mesure d'une tension sur la ligne des données (6). Le transistor de court-circuitage (30) peut être utilisé pour la décharge de la tension sur la grille du transistor de commande (22) jusqu'à sa mise hors tension. Grâce au stockage de la tension obtenue sur la ligne des données (6) à travers un transistor d'adresse (16), la ligne des données est utilisée comme une des lignes de contrôle/mesure pour la mesure de seuil.
