Abstract:

(EN)The present invention relates to a duplicated Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) server, which includes an Operation and Maintenance Processor (OMP) auditor process for monitoring a change of the Active/Standby status in an AAA server, and a method for managing the saure. In a conventional duplicated AAA server, a user cannot verify the status change for exceptions, whose information cannot be monitored by the OMP. In order to resolve this problem, the invention provides an auditor process, which checks the status of OMP periodically. With this auditor process, a user is always able to verify the status of the AAA server in case of exceptions, which cannot be detected by a regular OMP.
(FR)L'invention concerne un serveur d'authentification, d'autorisation et de comptabilité (AAA) dupliqué, qui comprend un procédé de vérification de type processeur de fonctionnement et de maintenance (OMP) permettant de surveiller une modification d'un état actif/en veille dans un serveur AAA, et un procédé de gestion associé. Dans un serveur AAA dupliqué classique, un utilisateur ne peut pas vérifier le changement d'état pour des exceptions, dont les informations ne peuvent être surveillées par le processeur OMP. Afin de résoudre ce problème, l'invention propose un procédé de vérification, qui permet de vérifier l'état du processeur OMP de manière périodique. Au moyen de ce procédé de vérification, un utilisateur a toujours la possibilité de vérifier l'état du serveur AAA en cas d'exceptions ne pouvant être détectées par un processeur OMP standard.
