(DE)Verfahren zur Behandlung eines Kristalls mit nichtlinearen optischen Eigenschaften, insbesondere eines Lithiumniobat- oder Lithiumtantalat-Kristalls, wobei der Kristall Fremdatome aufweist, die eine spezifische Absorption eingestrahlten Lichtes bewirken, wobei die Fremdatome durch Oxidation in einen niedrigeren Valenzzustand überführt werden und wobei bei der Oxidation frei werdende Elektronen mit Hilfe einer externen Stromquelle aus dem Kristall abgeführt werden.
(EN)The invention relates to a method for the treatment of a crystal, in particular a lithium niobate crystal or lithium tantalate crystal, having nonlinear optical properties. The crystal comprises foreign atoms which bring about specific absorption of radiated light. The foreign atoms are transformed into a lower valent state by means of oxidation. Electrons, which are released during oxidation, are discharged from the crystal with the aid of an external power source.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé pour traiter un cristal présentant des propriétés optiques non linéaires, notamment un cristal de niobate de lithium ou de tantalate de lithium. Ce cristal présente des impuretés qui provoquent une absorption spécifique de la lumière incidente. Selon ce procédé, une oxydation est réalisée pour faire passer les impuretés dans un état de valence faible. Les électrons libérés lors de l'oxydation sont éliminés du cristal à l'aide d'une source de courant externe.
