Keyword suggestions that are category-aware (and field-proven) may be used to help advertisers better target the serving of their ads, and may reduce unused ad spot inventory. The advertiser can enter ad information, such as a creative, a landing Webpage, other keywords, etc. for example. A keyword facility may use this entered ad information as seed information to infer one or more categories. It may then request that the advertiser confirm or deny some basic feedback information (e.g., categories, Webpage information, etc.). For example, an advertiser may be provided with candidate categories and may be asked to confirm (e.g., using checkboxes) which of the categories are relevant to their ad. Keywords may be determined using at least the categories. The determined keywords may be provided to the advertiser as suggested keywords, or may automatically populate ad serving constraint information as targeting keywords. The ad server system can run a trial on the determined keywords to qualify or disqualify them as targeting keyword.

On peut utiliser des suggestions de mots-clefs liés à des catégories (et à efficacité prouvée sur le terrain) pour aider les annonceurs à mieux cibler l'impact de leurs annonces et réduire leur lot d'annonces sans effets. L'annonceur peut par exemple produire une information créatrice ou la désignation d'une page du web ou d'autre mots-clefs. Il peut recourir aux mots-clefs comme informations de départ conduisant à d'autres catégories. On peut alors lui demander de confirmer ou infirmer certaines informations en retour (par exemple catégories, informations sur des pages du Web, etc.). On peut également proposer à un annonceur des catégories candidates et lui demander de confirmer (par exemple au moyen de cases à cocher) celles des catégories convenant à leurs annonces, les mots-clefs pouvant être déterminés en utilisant au moins ces catégories. Les mots-clefs déterminés peuvent être proposés aux annonceurs à titre de suggestions, ou peuvent venir automatiquement remplir des annonces contenant des informations contraintes comme mots-clefs de ciblage. Le système de serveurs d'annonces peut par ailleurs effectuer un essai des mots-clefs déterminés pour les qualifier ou les disqualifier en tant que mots-clefs de ciblage.
