Abstract
(EN) A recording medium wherein the disc, which is physically prepared as a rewritable disc, can be appropriately used as a write-once type. In order for a rewritable medium to be appropriately used for a write-once purpose, the recording medium has such a data structure that flag information (WF1-WF4) indicating whether first data units (2 K Bytes) have been used for recording is disposed in a second data unit (ECC block of 64 K Bytes). That is, it is directly shown whether the plurality of first data units (sectors that are dealt with on a host side) included in the second data unit (recording unit sector on the recording medium side) have been used for recoding or not yet. In this way, a disc drive apparatus, when receiving an access request as emulation, can refer to the flag information to determine whether or not a write or read operation is possible for the first data units that are command objects.
(FR) Support d'enregistrement dont le disque, préparé physiquement sous forme de disque réenregistrable, peut être utilisé de façon adéquate en tant que disque d'enregistrement unique. De ce fait, ce support d'enregistrement possède une structure de données dans laquelle les indicateurs (WF1-WF4) indiquant si les premières unités de données (2 K octets) ont été utilisées pour l'enregistrement, sont placés dans une deuxième unité de données (bloc ECC de 64 K octets). Ceci indique directement si la pluralité des premières unités de données (secteurs traités côté hôte) comprises dans la deuxième unité de données (secteur d'unité d'enregistrement côté support d'enregistrement) ont été utilisées pour l'enregistrement ou pas encore. Ceci permet à une unité de disque, à la réception d'une demande d'accès sous forme d'émulation, de faire référence à l'indicateur afin de déterminer si une opération de lecture ou d'écriture est possible ou non pour les premières unités de données qui sont des objets de commande.
(JA) 物理的にはリライタブルディスクとされているディスクをライトワンス型として適切に使用できる記録媒体である。リライタブルメディアをライトワンス用途として適正に使用できるようにするため、記録媒体のデータ構造としては、第2のデータ単位(64KByteのECCブロック)内に、各第1のデータ単位(2KByte)について記録済であるか否かを示すフラグ情報WF1~WF4が配置されるようにする。つまり、第2のデータ単位(記録媒体側の記録単位セクタ)に含まれる複数の第1のデータ単位(ホスト側で扱うセクタ)について、記録済であるか未記録であるかが直接的に示されるようにする。これによりディスクドライブ装置では、エミュレーションとしてアクセス要求があった際に、フラグ情報を参照して、コマンド対象の第1のデータ単位について、書き込み又は読み出しの可/不可を判断できる。
