A non-aqueous, substantially solvent-free and photoinitiator-free, particle beam curable ink having a viscosity less than 30m Pa.s at 60 °C, comprising: (j) a colorant; and (ii) a mixture of (meth)acrylate compounds; wherein: (a) the colorant is present in the ink in an amount of 0.1 to 14.9 % by weight relative to the total weight of ink; and (b) the mixture of (meth)acrylate compounds comprises c % of one or more mono (meth)acrylate compounds, d % of one or more di (meth)acrylate compounds and e % of one or more compounds having three or more (meth)acrylate groups, wherein the values of c %, d % and e % are by weight relative to the total weight of the mono (meth)acrylate compounds, di (meth)acrylate compounds and compounds having three or more (meth)acrylate groups and are such that the value of: Formula (I) is less than or equal to 60: Formula (I). Said inks are especially useful as ink jet printing inks. The inks are especially suitable for food contact applications and when printed and cured demonstrate good fat resistance and low levels of leaching to foodstuffs.

L'invention concerne une encre non aqueuse, sensiblement exempte de solvant et de photo-initiateur, durcissable par faisceau de particules, qui présente une viscosité inférieure à 30m Pa.s à 60 °C, et comprend : (1) un colorant, et (2) un mélange de composés de (méth)acrylate ; (a) le colorant étant présent dans l'encre à raison de 0,1 à 14.9 % en poids du poids total de l'encre, et (b) le mélange de composés de (méth)acrylate comprend c % d'un ou de plusieurs composés de mono(méth)acrylate, d % d'un ou de plusieurs composés de di(méth)acrylate et e % d'un ou de plusieurs composés comportant trois ou davantage de groupes (méth)acrylate. Les valeurs de c %, d % et e % sont données en poids par rapport au poids total des composés de mono(méth)acrylate, de di(méth)acrylate et des composés comportant trois ou davantage de groupes (méth)acrylate, et sont telles que la valeur de la formule (I) est inférieure ou égale à 60. Les encres de l'invention sont utiles en particulier pour l'impression à jet d'encre. Ces encres conviennent particulièrement bien aux applications comprenant un contact avec des aliments et présentent, après impression et durcissement, une bonne résistance aux graisses et de faibles taux de lessivage vers les aliments.
