Use of glycerol obtained from renewable raw materials, as starting product for producing organic compounds. Process for producing dichloropropanol, according to which glycerol is subjected to a reaction with a chlorinating agent, with the exception of a batch reaction carried out in the presence of acetic acid or its derivatives.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation de glycérol obtenu à partir de matériaux bruts renouvelables, en tant que matières premières dans la production de composés organiques. Ce procédé de production de dichloropropanol, selon lequel le glycérol est soumis à une réaction avec un agent de chloration, à l'exception d'une réaction en batch réalisée en présence d'un acide acétique ou de ses dérivés.
