A container assembly for controlling rate of oxygen transfer from the atmosphere into a liquid stored in the container assembly comprising, a container (4) with an oxygen permeability of 50ml to 300ml of oxygen per square metre of area of walls of the container for each millimeter of the thickness of the walls per 24 hour period at room temperature, a barrier member (11) for providing a barrier to limit oxygen access from head space in the container to a surface of the liquid the barrier member having a construction which causes it to float on the liquid surface, and a peripheral flange (12) surrounding the barrier member arranged so that it makes a slidable peripheral seal with the walls of the container.

L'invention concerne un ensemble contenant permettant de régler le taux de transfert d'oxygène provenant de l'atmosphère dans un liquide contenu dans l'ensemble contenant. Cet ensemble comprend un contenant (4) présentant une perméabilité à l'oxygène comprise entre 50 ml et 300 ml d'oxygène par mètre carré de surface de paroi du contenant, pour chaque millimètre d'épaisseur des parois pendant une durée de 24 heures à température ambiante ; un élément barrière (11) qui limite l'accès de l'oxygène provenant de l'espace vide du contenant vers la surface du liquide, cet élément barrière étant conçu de manière à flotter sur la surface du liquide ; et un rebord périphérique (12) entourant l'élément barrière et qui est placé de façon à former un joint périphérique coulissant avec les parois du contenant.
