(EN)An effective catalyst includes an amorphous silica-alumina support having a bimodal pore size-distribution. The support may be prepared by a method that includes the physical mixing of two silica-alumina gels prepared so as to have two different average pore sizes. The catalyst has the advantage that both metal dispersion on the support and product diffusion in the pores are optimized. Further, the catalyst has improved performance in the production of hydrocarbons from synthesis gas.
(FR)L'invention concerne un catalyseur efficace comprenant un support amorphe de silice-alumine à distribution de dimension de pore bimodale. Ledit support peut être préparé selon un procédé consistant à mélanger physiquement deux gels de silice-alumine préparés de manière à présenter deux dimensions de pore moyennes différentes. Ce catalyseur est avantageux en ce que la dispersion du métal sur le support et la diffusion du produit dans les pores sont optimisées. De plus, ce catalyseur présente une efficacité améliorée dans la production d'hydrocarbures à partir d'un gaz de synthèse.
