(EN)An optical fiber comprising a flame retardant UV light-curable tight-buffer coating coated onto the fiber, wherein said tight-buffer coating is substantially halogen-free, and has a limiting oxygen index of at least about 22 %, and wherein said tight-buffer coating is removable from said fiber with a strip-force of less than about 1800 grams when the fiber is upjacketed with said coating at a line speed of at least 300 m/min.
(FR)Cette invention se rapporte à une fibre optique comprenant un gainage serré polymérisable aux UV à effet ignifuge venant enduire la fibre, qui est essentiellement exempt d'halogène et possède un indice limite d'oxygène d'au moins 22 % environ, ce gainage serré pouvant être retiré de la fibre par une force de pelliculage inférieure à 1800 grammes environ, lorsque la fibre est enrobée de ce gainage à une vitesse linéaire d'au moins 300 m/min.
