Abstract:
(EN) Surgical methods of repairing defects and deficiencies in the spine are disclosed. The methods involve delivering a single part in-situ polymerizing fluid to (i) close a weakened segment or fissure in the annulus fibrosus, (ii) strengthen the annulus, (iii) replace or augment the disc nucleus, or (iv) localize a disc prosthesis. The methods may include placing a delivery conduit (760) adjacent to the repair site and providing a liquid tissue adhesive to bond to and repair a disc defect or deficiency
(FR) La présente invention concerne des procédés chirurgicaux qui permettent de réparer des défauts et des déficiences de la colonne vertébrale. Les procédés de l'invention consistent à distribuer en une fois un liquide de polymérisation in situ afin (i) de fermer un segment affaibli ou une fissure dans l'anneau fibreux périphérique du disque intervertébral, (ii) renforcer l'anneau fibreux, (iii) remplacer ou augmenter le noyau du disque, ou (iv) localiser une prothèse de disque. Selon les procédés de l'invention, on peut placer une conduite de distribution (760) adjacente au site de réparation et distribuer un adhésif tissulaire liquide qui effectue la liaison avec le disque et permet de réparer le défaut ou la déficience de ce dernier.
