(EN)A method for performing a domain transformation of a digital signal from the time domain into the frequency domain and vice versa, the method including performing the transformation by a transforming element, the transformation element comprising a plurality of lifting stages, wherein the transformation corresponds to a transformation matrix and wherein at least one lifting stage of the plurality of lifting stages comprises at least one auxiliary transformation matrix and a rounding unit, the auxiliary transformation matrix comprising the transformation matrix itself or the corresponding transformation matrix of lower dimension. The method further comprising performing a rounding operation of the signal by the rounding unit after the transformation by the auxiliary transformation matrix.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé pour effectuer une transformation de domaine d'un signal numérique à partir du domaine temporel dans le domaine fréquentiel. Ce procédé consiste à effectuer la transformation au moyen d'un élément de transformation qui comprend une pluralité d'étages d'élévation, la transformation correspondant à une matrice de transformation et au moins un étage d'élévation de la pluralité d'étages d'élévation comprenant au moins une matrice de transformation auxiliaire et une unité d'arrondissement. Ladite matrice de transformation auxiliaire comprend la matrice de transformation elle-même et la matrice de transformation correspondante de dimension inférieure. Le procédé consiste également à effectuer une opération d'arrondissement du signal au moyen de l'unité d'arrondissement, après transformation au moyen de la matrice de transformation auxiliaire.
