(EN)A process for producing cumene which comprises subjecting cumyl alcohol to hydrogenolysis or dehydration and then to hydrogenation, characterized in that a palladium catalyst is used as a catalyst for the hydrogenolysis or hydrogenation and that hydrogen having a carbon monoxide concentration of 0.1 to 10 vol.% is used.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à produire du cumène et consistant à soumettre de l'alcool de cumyle à une hydrogénolyse ou une déshydratation, puis à une hydrogénation. L'invention se caractérise en ce qu'on utilise un catalyseur de palladium comme catalyseur pour l'hydrogénolyse ou l'hydrogénation, et en ce qu'on utilise de l'hydrogène présentant une concentration en monoxyde de carbone comprise entre 0,1 et 10% en volume.
