Abstract
(EN) A method of calibrating an articulating probe head comprising the steps of measuring an artefact of known dimensions with the workpiece sensing probe mounted on the articulating probe head, in which the articulating probe head is unlocked. An error functional map is generated corresponding to the difference between the measured and known dimensions of the artefact. Subsequent workpieces are measured with the articulating probe head unlocked and the corresponding correction applied. The true dimensions of the artefact may be determined by measuring it with a probe mounted on an articulating probe head in which the axes of the articulating probe head are locked. A mechanical lock is provided to lock the axes of the articulating probe head.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé pour étalonner une tête de sonde articulée. Ce procédé consiste à mesurer un artefact de dimensions connues avec la sonde de détection de pièce montée sur la tête de sonde articulée dans laquelle la tête de sonde articulée n'est pas bloquée. Une carte fonctionnelle d'erreurs correspondant à la différence entre les dimensions mesurées et les dimensions connues de artefact est établie. Les pièces ultérieures sont mesurées avec la tête de sonde articulée non bloquée et la correction correspondante est appliquée. Les dimensions réelles de artefact peuvent être déterminées en les mesurant avec une sonde montée sur une tête de sonde articulée dans laquelle les axes sont bloqués. Un verrou mécanique permet de bloquer les axes de cette tête de sonde articulée.
