Abstract:
(EN) A system and method for image sensing and processing using the Arithmetic Fourier Transform (AFT). An image sensing array has sensors located based on a set of Farey fractions, each multiplied by a unit block size of the array. Similar sampling can be achieved by interpolating the pixel values of a conventional, uniformly spaced array of sensors. The AFT can be determined extremely efficiently by computing weighted sums of the representative pixel values. Corresponding Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coefficients can then be computed by scaling the AFT coefficients. As a result, the number of multiplication operations required to compute the DCT is dramatically reduced.
(FR) La présente invention a trait à un système et procédé de capture et de traitement d'images (fig. 13 éléments 1304 et 1306) utilisant la transformée arithmétique de Fourier. Un réseau de capture d'images comporte des capteurs localisés basés sur un ensemble de fractions de Farey, dont chacun est multiplié par un dimension de bloc d'unités du réseau. Un échantillonnage identique peut être réalisé par interpolation des valeurs de pixels (fig. 13 élément 1308) d'un réseau classique à espacement régulier de capteurs. La transformée arithmétique de Fourier peut être déterminées de manière extrêmement efficace par le calcul de sommes pondérées (fig. 13 élément 1316) des valeurs de pixels représentatives. Des coefficients correspondants de transformée en cosinus discrète peuvent ensuite être calculés par la mise à l'échelle des coefficients de la transformée arithmétique de Fourier.
