(EN)An adaptive multicarrier wireless communication system, apparatus and associated methods are generally disclosed herein. In this regard, according to an embodiment, an adaptive subcarrier management agent (SMA) adaptively modifies one or more of a bit loading and distribution, coding type, modulation type and/or power allocation among “good” and “bad” subcarriers based on one or more channel quality metric(s).
