(EN)This invention provides methods for identifying novel SHMT modulators. The methods comprise first screening test agents for modulators of p38 activity and then further screening the identified modulating agents for modulators of SHMT enzyme activity. The invention further provides methods and pharmaceutical compositions for modulating cellular proliferation and for treating tumors using the novel SHMT modulators.
(FR)L'invention concerne des méthodes qui permettent d'identifier de nouveaux modulateurs de SHMT. Ces méthodes consistent d'abord à cribler des agents d'essai pour des modulateurs de l'activité de p38, puis à cribler les agents de modulation identifiés pour des modulateurs de l'activité enzymatique de SHMT. L'invention concerne également des méthodes et des compositions pharmaceutiques qui permettent de moduler la prolifération cellulaire et de traiter des tumeurs à l'aide des modulateurs de SHMT selon l'invention.
