Abstract

A device for recording information in a track on a record carrier writes and reads marks and spaces each having a nominal run length. The device has a detection unit (32) for generating a signed deviation value signal (34) indicative for a position deviation of a starting edge of a mark and/or an ending edge of a mark with respect to a nominal, position of said edge. A calculation unit (31) selects at least one predefined run length pattern and determines a correction signal (33) based on at least one statistically calculated parameter of the signed deviation value signal for the selected run length pattern. A radiation source control unit (29) controls the power of the radiation source during said writing based on the correction signal.

Ce dispositif d'enregistrement d'informations sur une piste d'un support d'enregistrement inscrit et lit des marques et des espaces ayant chacun une longueur nominale de plage. Le dispositif comprend une unité de détection (32) pour générer un signal (34) relatif à une valeur signée de déviation qui indique une déviation dans la position du bord initial d'une marque et/ou du bord final d'une marque par rapport à la position nominale du bord en question. Une unité de calcul (31) sélectionne au moins un modèle prédéfini de longueurs de plage et détermine un signal de correction (33) sur la base d'un paramètre statistiquement calculé du signal relatif à la valeur signée de déviation du modèle sélectionné de longueurs de plage. Une unité (29) de commande de la source de rayonnement règle la puissance de la source de rayonnement pendant l'inscription sur la base du signal de correction.
