Abstract
(EN) Tubular reactor apparatus and processes are provided for improved polymerization including using chain transfer agents and multiple monomer feeds spaced lengthwise along the tubular reactor providing high conversions of monomer into polymer. The invention also relates to polymers made from such a tubular reactor apparatus and processes including those polymers having a low haze value, a density over 0.92 g/cm3 and/or having terminal carbonyl groups. The apparatus and methods uncouple or reduce the dependency between the monomer concentration and transfer agent concentration. The uncoupling in other embodiments may also be varied leading to multiple desirable effects.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil réacteur tubulaire et des procédés permettant une polymérisation améliorée notamment à l'aide d'agents de transfert de chaînes et de charges d'alimentation en monomères multiples espacées longitudinalement sur le réacteur tubulaire permettant d'obtenir des conversions élevées de monomère en polymère. L'invention concerne également des polymères produits par cet appareil réacteur tubulaire et des procédés contenant ces polymères ayant une valeur de trouble basse, une densité supérieure à 0,92 g/cm3 et/ou ayant des groupes carbonyle terminaux. L'appareil et les procédés distinguent ou réduisent la dépendance entre la concentration en monomère et la concentration en agent de transfert. La distinction dans d'autres modes de réalisation peut aussi faire l'objet de variations conduisant à de multiples effets désirables.
