Abstract:
(EN) A unitized mat (10) to facilitate growing plants includes at least two polymeric material layers (20, 30) defining fluid-conveying passageways (50) forming distribution headers (32) and a flow restrictor (36), an inlet (60) for delivery of a fluid into the distribution headers (32), and an outlet (70) for dispensing fluid into a root zone area covered by at least one layer of the polymeric material layers (20, 30). The polymeric layers (20, 30) are sized and shaped to cover an area immediately around at least one plant. The flow restrictor (36), for metering the fluid, is in fluid connection with the distribution header (32) and a multi-dimensional array of outlets (70). The present invention combines a fluid distribution device and artificial mulching. The method of manufacturing and using the unitized mat (10) to enhance the growth of plants is also disclosed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un tapis unitisé (10) permettant de faciliter la croissance des plantes et comprenant au moins deux couches de matériau polymère (20, 30) définissant des passages de transport de fluide (50) formant des collecteurs de distribution (32) et un limiteur de débit (36), un orifice d'admission (60) destiné à la distribution d'un fluide dans les collecteurs de distribution (32) et un orifice d'évacuation (70) permettant de distribuer le fluide dans une zone des racines recouverte au moins d'une couche de matériau polymère (20, 30). Les couches polymères (20, 30) sont dimensionnées et façonnées de manière à recouvrir une zone située immédiatement autour d'au moins une plante. Le limiteur de débit (36), permettant de mesurer le fluide, est en connexion fluidique avec le collecteur de distribution (32) et un réseau multidimensionnel d'orifices d'évacuation (70). L'invention concerne une combinaison d'un dispositif de distribution de fluide et d'une couverture de sol artificielle. L'invention concerne enfin un procédé de fabrication et d'utilisation du tapis unitisé (10) permettant d'améliorer la croissance des plantes.
