There is provided a digital modulation device capable of generating a modulation code which can be correctly digitization-sliced upon reproduction. For this, in a digital modulation device (10A), a DSV conversion amount calculation device (15) calculates DSV change amounts (&Dgr;DSVa, &Dgr;DSVb) for the candidate modulation codes (CODEa, CODEb) generated by a modulation code generation device (11). A modulation code judgment device (13) compares the change amounts (&Dgr;DSVa, &Dgr;DSVb) and judges to select a candidate modulation code corresponding to a smaller absolute value as the modulation code (CODE). A modulation code selection device (14) selects the one judged by the modulation code judgment device (13) from the candidate modulation codes (CODEa, CODEb) and outputs the selected code as the modulation code (CODE) of source data (DATA).

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de modulation numérique capable de générer un code de modulation qui peut être correctement découpé en tranches par numérisation à la reproduction. Dans un dispositif de modulation numérique (10a), un dispositif de calcul de quantité de conversion DSV (Digital Sum Value/valeur de la somme numérique) (15) calcule à cette fin des valeurs de changement de DSV ($g(D)DSVa, $g(D)DSVb) pour les codes de modulation candidats (CODEa, CODEb) générés par le dispositif de création de codes de modulation (11).
