(EN) A braking band (14) of a disc (10) for a disc brake of the ventilated type, unusually capable of improving the disc cooling efficiency, extends between an inner diameter (D1) close to an axis (X-X) of rotation of the disc and an outer diameter (D2) away from the said axis (X-X9 of rotation of the disc. The braking band comprises two leaves (16, 18) defining an intermediate space and joined by connection means. The ratio between the outer diameter of the surface (D2) and the thickness or maximum dimension of the said intermediate space (22) between the two leaves (16, 18) measured in a direction parallel to the axis of the disc (X-X) lies between 15 and 32.
(FR) L'invention concerne une bande de freinage (14) d'un disque (10) pour des freins à disques de type ventilés, capable d'améliorer l'efficacité de refroidissement du disque, laquelle s'étend entre un diamètre intérieur (D1) proche d'un axe (X-X) de rotation du disque et un diamètre extérieur (D2) éloigné de cet axe (X-X) de rotation du disque. Cette bande de freinage comprend deux feuilles (16, 18) définissant un espace intermédiaire et jointes par des moyens de connexion.
