Abstract:

(EN)An apparatus for cutting barbs into a suture having a filament supply (101). The apparatus also has an in-feed collet (1) for holding one end of a filament threaded therethrough. Further the apparatus has an out-feed collet (1a) for holding a second end of a filament threaded therethrough. Additionally, the apparatus has a holder (10) positioned between said in-feed and out-feed collets for holding a filament suspended between the in-feed and out-feed collets. The apparatus also has a cutting assembly (102) for cutting barbs in the filament tensioned between the in-feed and out-feed collets.
(FR)L'invention concerne un appareil pour couper des barbes dans une suture présentant une alimentation en filament. Ledit appareil présente également un collet d'entrée permettant de maintenir une extrémité du filament fileté à l'intérieur. De plus, l'appareil présente un collet de sortie destiné à maintenir une seconde extrémité d'un filament fileté à l'intérieur. L'appareil comprend également un dispositif de maintien positionné entre lesdits collets d'entrée et de sortie, ce qui permet de maintenir un filament suspendu entre les collets d'alimentation et d'évacuation. Ledit appareil présente également un ensemble de coupe destiné à couper des barbes dans le filament tendu entre les collets d'entrée et de sortie.
