(EN)A method and device for conditioning a lead battery as provided. The method and device includes applying a negative voltage pulse across the terminals of the battery at a rate of between 1kHz and 35kHz where the negative voltage pulse is characterised by having a negative amplitude of between two and ten times the amplitude of the EMF of the battery and having a pulse width of less than (10) microseconds. Further, the power for the negative voltage pulses is provided from the battery.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant d'effectuer le conditionnement d'une batterie plomb. Le procédé et le dispositif consistent à appliquer une impulsion de tension négative sur les bornes de la batterie à une vitesse comprise entre 1kHz et 35kHz, l'impulsion de tension négative étant caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend une amplitude négative égale à entre deux et dix fois celle du EMF de la batterie et possède une durée d'impulsion inférieure à 10 microsecondes. De plus, la puissance des impulsions de tension négative provient de la batterie.
