(EN)The present invention relates to use of a nucleic acid molecule having intra-molecular base pairing as an internal control in nucleic acid amplification. The invention relates to a method of nucleic acid amplification comprising having components which amplify target nucleic acid if it is present in a sample and comprising a nucleic acid molecule having intra-molecular base pairing as an internal control. The invention also relates to a kit for use in the method.
