(EN)A method of removing hexafluoropropylene dimers ('HFP dimers'), dimer hydrides and other oligomers from a fluid is described. The method comprises heating the fluid to isomerize the HFP dimers to the thermodynamic isomer, and contacting the fluid with a tertiary amine (or salts thereof) to form a hexafluoropropylene dimer - tertiary amine adduct. The method may further comprise the step of separating the dimer adducts from the reaction mixture.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé pour évacuer d'un fluide les dimères d'hexafluoropropylène ('dimères HFP '), les hybrides de dimères et d'autres oligomères. Le procédé consiste à réchauffer le fluide pour isomériser les dimères HFP et les transformer en isomère thermodynamique puis à mettre en contact le fluide avec une amine tertiaire amine (ou des sels de celle-ci) pour former un additif dimère - amine tertiaire. Le procédé peut consister également en la séparation des additifs de dimères du mélange de réaction.
